Doing Old Things in Very New Ways

Do you remember being in school and getting a vocabulary worksheet from your teacher at the beginning of a unit or chapter and having to fill it out? So do I. 5LK took a different angle on science vocabulary development, having students photo document vocabulary words having to do with alluvial (river) landforms using the Foss science kits and stream tables. Students had to document 10 vocabulary words using a digital camera and then they put them all together in a slide show, narrating these pics with their own voices, describing what vocabulary term was being demonstrated in each photo. Below is an excellent example by 5LK student Noah.
